Collection: The Long Jan van Amersfoort

The third tallest tower in the Netherlands with the nickname Lange Jan is 98 meters high. There was once a church attached to the tower, but after an explosion in the gunpowder laboratory that was there, the ruin was demolished in 1806. The location of the tower forms the cadastral zero point of the Netherlands.
